Buzzing In My Ear What Is It?

For a few years now, ive had slight buzzing in my ear. It comes and goes and usually lasts about a couple days. I noticed recently that it only starts buzzing whenever i put an earphone in my right ear or a cutip. beyond that it never seems to be a problem.

Im wondering what it is that is causing the buzzing, as it is not ringing of any kind but it just sounds like my ears muffled a little bit. Could it be a build up of wax or what other things could it be?
